NTPC ROPR meeting in Barh

A two-day 18th Regional Operational Performance Review (ROPR) concluded at NTPC, Barh today that deliberated on various aspects including improving the plant's efficiency.
The review meeting, which was inaugurated by NTPC Director (operations) K K Sharma yesterday, had lots of deliberations on plant operational performance, quality of coal sampling, environment protection including focus on proper aesthetic look of the plant and stations, NTPC Deputy Manager (PR) Vishwanath Chandan said in a release.
Speaking on the occasion, Sharma stressed the need for the company's progress and the challenges it has to face in the changing power scenario with special thrust on improving efficiency in production and protection of environment.
Sharma also highlighted the significance of running the units efficiently and safety at the work place, the release said.
Sharma also interacted with executives posted at NTPC Barh and termed them as future of the company and urged them to give their best to achieve both personal and organizational growth.
Along with senior officials, Sharma visited prominent locations such as construction site and operational areas of the Barh power plant.
Earlier in the day, Sharma lauded CSR and Community development initiatives under taken by Barh management while inaugurating the NTPC Community Centre at NTPC Barh.
Regional Executive Director, East Region I, K S Garbyal, Group General Manager(Barh) Balaji Iyengar, Executive Director (Operations Service) S K Roy, Executive Director (Farakka) A K Singh, Group General Manager (Kahalgaon) Rakesh Samuel, General Manager (Operations Service) ER-1 HQ Rajkumar, General Manager (Operations-Barh) Prasant Kashyap and other officials were also present on the occasion.
