A first year law student at the National University of Juridical Sciences (NUJS) died after allegedly falling from the hostel building of the institute here, police said today.
Vikash Chaudhary, a resident of Delhi, fell from the third floor of the hostel building located on E M Bypass on the day of Holi and was seriously injured, they said.
He was admitted to a private hospital in the city, where he succumbed to the injuries yesterday, Additional Commissioner of Police Bidhannagar Debashis Dhar said.
Meanwhile, the student's father today lodged a complaint with the Bidhannagar South Police Station alleging that it was a case of murder, police said.
"Since it is an unnatural death and a complaint lodged alleges murder, investigation will proceed after we receive the post mortem report," Dhar said.
