Nursery school director booked for raping 3-yr-old girl

Director of a private nursery school in Kolar area here has been booked for allegedly raping a three-year-old girl, police said today.
"Police have booked nursery school director Anoop Pratap Singh (27) for sexually assaulting a three-year-old girl studying in his school," Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Rajesh Chandel told PTI.
The officer said that a case has been registered against Singh under IPC section 376 (rape) and also under Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
ASP said the family members of the girl had lodged a complaint two days back that the girl was assaulted sexually by the school director.

In the complaint, they stated that they found their daughter in a bad condition when they reached the school to bring her home last week, Chandel said.
The family members took the girl to the hospital believing that she was ill, but during her medical examination, the doctor found that she had been sexually assaulted, the complaint stated.

On being asked, the girl informed that Singh had assaulted her.
"Police have registered a case against the accused last night. However, he is yet to be arrested," Chandel said.
Further investigation into the case is on.
