The owner of the nursing home Dr Debal Ranjan Dutta, was arrested late last night and was produced at the Chief Judicial Magistrate court today which remanded him to police custody for seven days, said a senior police officer.
As per the complaint lodged with the police, the victim was allegedly raped by the owner of the nursing home in a hotel at Odisha in 2007. She was sexually harassed there for several times and on a number of occasions later and was threatened with dire consequences if she revealed anything to anyone.
