O P Meena appointed Rajasthan Chief Secretary

Senior IAS officer O P Meena was today appointed the new chief secretary of Rajasthan.
Meena, a 1979-batch IAS officer was earlier the Chairman and Commissioner of Rajasthan Housing Board. He replaces C S Rajan who was on extension.
Meena belongs to Sawaimadhopur district and has held several posts that included ACS Forest and environment, ACS Animal Husbandry, Principal Secretary Food and civil supply among others.
Apart from the appointment of Meena as the Chief Secretary, the government also transferred 22 other IAS officers tonight.
Six Additional chief secretary and five Principal Secretary rank officials were transferred, according to a department of personnel order.
