Obama embarks Monday on a six day trip that will take him to The Hague for a nuclear security summit and a meeting of the G7, then to Brussels for a summit of European leaders and a meeting with the NATO secretary general.
Rice said Obama would use the trip to mobilise the international community and US allies.
