Odia film personalities such as Anubhav Mohanty, Sidhant Mohapatra and Arindam Ray were named as the star campaigners for the ruling BJD apart from Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.
The regional party Saturday submitted a list of 40 star campaigners to the chief electoral officer (CEO) for the Phase-I and Phase-II polling to be held on April 11 and April 16.
Simultaneous Lok Sabha and assembly elections will be held in the state in four phases.
Actor turned politicians like Prashant Nanda, Akash Das Nayak, Muzibulla Khan alias Munna Khan and Kuna Tripathy will also campaign for the BJD.
Party vice-presidents Ananga Uday Singh Deo, Suryanaran Patro, Dr Prasanna Kumar Patasani, N Bhaskar Rao, Pramila Mallick and Prasanna Acharya and MP Soumya Ranjan Patnaik too featured in the list of star campaigners.
Several other leaders are also in that list.
