Odisha cyber cops arrest Bangalore youth

Odisha crime branch police have arrested a Bangalore-based youth for allegedly uploading morphed obscene photos of a girl by opening a fake Facebook account in her name.
Based on a complaint, cyber crime cops from Odisha arrested Panchu Pan (36) of Bangalore and produced him before a local court here today.
The accused, booked under relevant sections of the IPC and Information Technology (amend) Act-2008, was remanded in judicial custody,
During the course of investigation, prima facie evidence was made out against the accused for having committed the crime.
A team of cyber crime police station here had proceeded to Bangalore and the accused was apprehended on August 30 with the help of local police there.

The accused was brought here on Tuesday on transit remand after he was produced before a Bangalore court, said a press release issued by the crime branch police here.
