Jagatsinghpur district magistrate-cum collector Yamini Sarangi, a 2008 batch IAS officer, has been appointed as Collector and District Magistrate of Bargarh district, a notification issued by the general administration department said.
Sarangi replaced Bargarh district collector Khagendra Kumar Padhi, the notification said adding that the reshuffle was made in pursuance of Election Commission of India as bypoll would be held in Bijepur assembly constituency of the district.
Jagatsinghpur ADM Sachidananda Sahoo has been made in-charge collector of the district.
Earlier, the opposition BJP had lodged complaint against the Bargarh district collector and Superintendent of Police (SP) accusing them of working in favour of the ruling BJD.
