Superintendent Arun D Patil (55) and senior clerk Pandari B Dandkar (38) had sought the bribe to approve conveyance deed of housing society here, the Thane unit of ACB said.
The officers had demanded the bribe from each of the 64 flat owners of the society. After negotiations, it was agreed that each of the members would pay Rs 1,300, amounting to a total of Rs 83,200, ACB said.
Accordingly, the duo received an advance payment of Rs 50,000 earlier and the balance Rs 33,200 was to be paid today.
Offences under Prevention of Corruption Act have been registered against the duo.
