Officials pledge Rs 50 L each for families of SP, SHO

Police and state government employees here today pledged to donate Rs 50 lakh each to the families of SP Mukul Dwivedi and SHO Santosh Yadav who were killed in Mathura violence.
"Officers and government employees have decided to donate one day's salary for providing financial assistance to the families of Dwivedi and Yadav. The amount would be no less than Rs 50 lakh each," said District Magistrate Rajesh Kumar.
The two officers were killed in the Jawahar Bagh violence on June 2.
Kumar also said that Jawahar Bagh would be renamed after Dwivedi.
