A state prisons spokesman says Michael Lee Wilson died at 6:06 pm yesterday.
Wilson and three other men were convicted of killing Richard Yost in February 1995. One man is serving a life term.
Wilson had worked with Yost. Prosecutors said Wilson knew two weeks before the robbery that Yost would die, yet still made small talk with him in the minutes leading up to the attack.
Yost was struck 54 times with a baseball bat. Prosecutors said Wilson put on a work uniform and waited on customers while Yost died in a puddle of blood, milk and beer in the back of the store.
