Ola launches benefit programme for its autorickshaw drivers

Cab aggregator Ola today launched Auto Unnati- a comprehensive benefit programme for its autorickshaw drivers offering themChalo Befikar insurance scheme, family welfare initiatives and performance-based financial benefits.
The company said in a press release thatAuto Unnatiis Olas first such programme intended to create a robust financial cover and business benefit assurance plan that enables a healthy professional ecosystem for it autorickshaw drivers and enhances their entrepreneurial journey.
Olas in-trip insurance programme Chalo Befikar (Move tension-free) for auto driver partners is an industry-first initiative that provides a cover of INR 5,00,000 at zero-cost forevery Ola Auto driver partner, said the company.

It added that the programme entails daily benefits in case ofhospitalisationto cover business losses, takes care of outstanding auto loans, and childrens education.
This program will help in achieving a sustainable livelihood, benefiting the partners and their families.
Starting in Bengaluru, Chalo Befikar will be rolled out in a phased manner to different cities in the coming months, the company said in the press release.
