Ola to expand Ola Play to 3 more Indian cities

Cab aggregator Ola today said it will expand its 'Ola Play' offering to three more Indian cities -- Chennai, Pune, and Kolkata.
Ola Play is powered by proprietary in-car and cloud technologies, bringing advance car controls, choice of personalised content and a fully connected interactive experience for users.
It is currently available in Bengaluru, Mumbai, Delhi and Hyderabad.
"Ola Play grew over 200 per cent quarter on quarter in terms of the number of rides, and is now installed in over 50,000 Prime Play cars," Ola said in a statement.
It added that while the service is now being piloted in Chennai, Pune and Kolkata, Ola Play will be expanded to 10 more cities by end of 2017.

Moglix raises $12 mn from IFC, others
* Moglix, a B2B e-commercestart-up, has raised USD 12 million in funding from International Finance Corporation (IFC), a member of the World Bank Group and Rocketship.
Moglix's existing investors Accel Partners,Jungle Ventures, Shailesh Rao (former senior leader at Twitter and Google) and Venture Highway also participated in the series B round, it said in a statement today.
Founded in 2015,Moglix has previously USD 6 million in funding in two rounds.

Micromax offers 100-day replacement warranty for feature phns * Homegrown handset maker Micromax today said it will offer a 100-day replacement for all its feature phones.

Micromax will replace failing feature phone with the same/equivalent model in the first 100 days from the date of activation of the device (which is a part of the 1 year total warranty period), it said in a statement.
"We have a large base of feature phone users... Taking our promise a step ahead, we are now bringing a care free user experience for all the feature phone customers offering them full replacement within 100 days of purchase, if any problem arises," Micromax Chief Marketing and Commercial Officer Shubhodip Pal said.

Nokia smartphones to feature ZEISS optics * HMD Global, which holds the licence for Nokia brand, today said it has partnered imaging company, ZEISS.

The partnership will see ZEISS and HMD Global co-develop standard-defining imaging capabilities and will bring the ZEISS brand back to Nokia smartphones, a statement said.
The past collaboration saw ZEISS and Nokia phones driving technology innovations such as the world's first multi- megapixel mobile phone.
