Old woman dies as crackers go off accidentally

In a freak accident ahead of Diwali, an 85-year-old woman was today killed when fire crackers went off in her house here, police said.
The accident occurred when the victim, Rajkali, tried to light an earthen oven with burning cloth in her house in Chaubepur area, oblivious of the fact that some fire crackers were wrapped in it, SP Rural Anil Mishra.
As the crackers exploded, she received severe burns on her face and body, they said, adding, she was rushed to hospital where doctors declared her dead.
