Omar discusses development of J&K with Vice-President

Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah today briefed Vice-President Hamid Ansari on the development scenario in the state.
Omar also highlighted the initiatives taken by the coalition government to empower people, bring transparency in the functioning of administration during the meeting, an official spokesman said.
He detailed the schemes initiated for the upliftment of weaker sections and those living in far-flung and remote areas of the state, the spokesman said.
The Chief Minister wished well-being and good health to the Vice-President which he reciprocated and prayed for peace and development of the state.
Ansari, who arrived here today to deliver valedictory lecture at the concluding function of 101st Indian Science Congress, was received at the Jammu airport by Governor N N Vohra, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and other state dignitaries.
