One person was arrested here for manufacturing fake products under the label of some well known brands, police said Saturday.
The racket running at a home in Mansa area here was busted by Punjab's food safety team along with police officials around midnight, Food Safety and Drug Administration Commissioner K S Pannu said.
The accused prepared fake products under labels of Verka, Amul and Milkfood, he said.
The arrested accused was identified as Suresh Kumar, the owner of the house, Pannu said, adding more arrests were likely.
A large number of labels of various products were recovered, indicating the involvement of other people stationed at different places for preparing and selling the fake products, he said.
