The officials said that Lalnunmawia of Thuampui was arrested arrested last night and booked under relevant sections of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act.
In a separate incident, Excise and Narcotics department officials also seized 2.55 lakh tablets of pseudo-ephedrine being brought from Assam to be smuggled to Myanmar.
Six persons were detained for interrogation in this connection, the officials said, adding that large quantities of pseudo-ephedrine, precursor for clandestine manufacture of the dreaded Methamphetamine, were being smuggled from Mizoram to Myanmar.
