The court will pronounce the sentence on December 21.
District and Sessions court judge Manoj Kumar Vyas convicted Narendra Jat for fatally stabbing the jailer Bharat Bhushan Bhatt on the eve of September 18, 2010, and acquitted his accomplices Santosh, Rajan and Vikas alias Vikky, who had helped him in the attack, a counsel of an accused said.
Jat, a resident of Uttar Pradesh, and a murder convict serving life sentence, had stabbed Bhatt while Santosh, Rajan and Vikas overpowered the jailer.
The attackers were said to be enraged with Bhatt over some issue and were looking for an opportunity to settle scores.
Bhatt, a senior jailer, had spent most of his career in jails across the state and had been transferred from Jaipur to Jodhpur in 2008.
He had also played roles in Hindi movies, including 13 May Gulabi Nagar, a local production of the events concerning the May 13 serial blasts in Jaipur.
Bhatt, from Kishengarh in Ajmer, was survived by his wife and daughter.
