Nearly five dozen hutments were gutted in the fire and property worth several lakhs of rupees was destroyed, police said.
The deceased has been identified as Momina, police said, adding that the injured have been admitted to hospital.
The cause of the fire could not be ascertained.
In a similar incident in Pakaria Ghosiana village in Lakhimpur tehsil, many hutments and houses were gutted and property worth several lakhs was reduced to ashes when a sudden spark in power supply cables triggered a blaze.
