One dead as shop catches fire

A 42-year-old man was today charred to death when his shop caught fire at Ramnagar area of Faridabad district, police said today.
Satish ran cloth business along with a tea stall from the shop. He had been living there for years, police spokesperson said.
The incident took place last night when a gas cylinder in his shop caught fire while he was asleep following which it spread to nearby stores as well, the spokesperson added.
On being informed by the locals, fire brigade and police officials rushed to the spot and doused the fire.
Satish, who received severe burn injuries, was rushed to a hospital where doctors declared him dead, they said.
