One dead, one injured while making bombs

One person was killed and another was seriously injured while they were trying to make bombs inside a house in the Ganthulia area of Katwa in Burdwan district, the police said.
The locality was rocked by an explosion late last night and when the police reached the spot, they found a portion of the house belonging to one Zillar Rahman, damaged, a senior police officer said.
One person, later identified as Kanikhuro Sheikh (35), was found dead inside the house and another person, yet to be identified, was found with serious injuries and was admitted to Katwa sub-divisional hospital, the officer said.

Six members of the CID Bomb Squad reached the spot today and found nine bombs from the house, which were later diffused.
Bomb making materials and some other things were found from the house, he said adding, the owner of the house was absconding a search was on to trace his whereabouts.
