One dies, six suffer burns due to explosion of steam pipeline

One person died and six other employees of the Neyveli Lignite Corporation here sustained burns after the steam pipeline exploded due to heavy pressure today, NLC sources said.
Due to impact of the explosion at the 600 MW thermal power station a portion of the building collapsed damaging the entire set up of computers and furnitures there.
The explosion was caused due to heavy pressure in the steam pipeline, NLC sources said.
Of the injured, three were regular employees and others contract workers, they said adding, all of them were rushed to hospital.
