The band will perform its new song "Perfect" at the ceremony, reported Billboard.
This time, the four member boy band comprising Niall Horan, Liam Payne, Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson, are nominated in two categories, including artist of the year.
"Perfect" is from the group's forthcoming fifth studio album "Made In The AM", which is scheduled to release on November 13.
The group (then a five piece) won three trophies at last year's ceremony - artist of the year, favourite duo or group, pop/rock and favourite album, pop/rock.
The Latin pop icon will also perform on the night, along with Aussie pop-punk outfit 5 Seconds of Summer, pop star Selena Gomez and celebrated country artist Carrie Underwood.
