One injured as farmers clash over weighing of sugarcane

A 40-year-old man was seriously injured in a clash between farmers of two villages over weighing of sugarcane at Rohana sugar mill in the district, police said today.
The incident took place yesterday when sugarcane farmers of Gharoli village in Saharanpur and Rohana village here had an argument over which group will weigh the cash crop first, police said.
The confrontation soon turned into a violent clash in which one farmer was seriously injured after which he was admitted to a hospital, they said.
Police has registered a case against three people, identified as Mahesh, Umesh, and Mangeram, in this connection.
