One killed, 40 injured after tourist bus overturns in MP

One person was killed and 40 others injured when a tourist bus overturned at Sagargram culvert, about 40 kms from here today.
Jiran Police Station's sub inspector Manish Mishra said tourists from Kolkata (West Bengal) were going towards Ajmer (Rajasthan) in this bus when the accident occurred near Sagargram culvert.
Mishra said that the bus overturned after hitting the railing of the culvert.
The deceased has been identified as Gulam Ali, 42, a resident of North 24 Parganas (West Bengal) while 40 others were injured, he added.
Most of the injured were admitted in district hospital at Neemuch while eight of them were referred to Udaipur (Rajasthan), Mishra said.
"On the complaint of a tourist, Shamshad, we have registered a case and arrested the driver Dilip. The complainant said that the driver was driving rashly. Seventy one passengers were travelling in this bus," he added.
