One person was killed and another was injured when their scooter was hit by a vehicle in the Beniapukur area of the city on Tuesday, police said.
The accident happened at around 3.15 am when an unknown vehicle dashed the scooter. The deceased person was riding pillion, a senior police officer said.
The injured person was admitted to a nearby hospital, he said.
"We are trying to find out the deceased persons identity by talking to his co-rider. We are also trying to get CCTV footages of that location to find out about the other vehicle which dashed it from behind," the officer said.
