Parveen Kumar (19), who was riding the motorcycle, died on the spot whereas Amit Suresh (16), who was riding pillion, got injured when the mini bus coming from opposite direction hit their motorcycle at Khelani on the Batote-Kishtwar highway, a police officer said.
The driver of the mini bus managed to escape from the spot and a manhunt has been launched to nab him, he said.
A case under various sections of Ranbir Penal Code (RPC) has been registered and investigation initiated, he said.
