One killed, five injured in road accident

One woman was killed and five others injured when a tempo in which they were travelling overturned after it collided with a speeding tractor in the wee hours today, police said.
Geeta (54), resident of Govindnagar here, was killed when she was returning with her family from a marriage function when the tempo carrying them collided with a tractor loaded with stone chips at Babu Purwa area, they said.
Five injured persons have been admitted to hospital, police said, adding, the driver fled from the spot after the incident and a search is on to nab him.
