One killed in blast at fireworks godown

A worker was killed in an explosion at the godown of a fireworks factory in Konampatti near here today.
The worker, a man, was killed on the spot, police said.
Police said the cause of the blast, which was preceeded by smoke and fire, was being ascertained.
Fire fighting units from here rushed to the factory to douse the fire, they said.
