The arrest was made during a joint operation of police and CRPF in the forest where six PLFI members were present yesterday, Additional SP, Rourkela, S Mohanty said.
The PLFI members challenged the security forces by opening fire, which was retaliated. The exchange of fire continued for sometime before five of them managed to escape and one was caught, Mohanty said.
The securitymen destroyed the jungle camp of PLFI and seized two 303 live cartridges, three mobile phones, four SIM cards, water bottles, three blankets, notebooks with valuable information, 2 torch lights, first aid kit and medicines, combat uniform and carry bags, he said.
