Online app for tribal caste validity certificate in Maha

Maharashtra Governor C Vidyasagar Rao today launched 'Adi Praman', a web-based application which enables the tribal populace of the state get the caste validity certificates online.
"It would make the entire process of securing caste validity certificate transparent, fast, and easy and would effectively curb the menace of bogus certificates," Rao said, after launching the application at his official residence in the presence of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.
It would help them avail of government services on time, he said, also pointing out that Maharashtra was the first state to provide caste validity certificates online.
Chief Minister Fadnavis said the application would help the government achieve the goal of inclusion as envisioned under the Digital India programme.

"The government is working towards the goal of digital administration with minimum human intervention," he said.
Fadnavis also said the state government had made 147 services online, and another 250 would be brought online in coming days, as mandated by the Right to Services Act.
Tribal Development Minister Vishnu Savra said the availability of caste validity certificates online would especially help the youths who are seeking jobs and also the candidates who are filing nomination papers for elections.
