Online single window system launched in Chandigarh

Punjab Governor and Chandigarh administrator V P Singh Badnore today launched an online single window system for ease of doing business in the city.
The system has been developed by the National Informatics Centre, the governor said here.
The state industries department has taken this initiative to enable investors to get online permissions in a time-bound manner for setting up new businesses or to get renewals of permissions from related departments of the Chandigarh Administration, he said.
Departments like the estate office, labour, and engineering, and Chandigarh Municipal Corporation can give approvals online, Badnore said.
This system will cut down on unnecessary delays for setting up of new ventures and also reduce hassles for existing businesses, he said.
