He also asked them to remember their commitment towards the country and strive for helping poorest of poor in the society.
Addressing the centenary year celebrations of Ramjas College here, Jung called upon the students to "open the windows of their mind" and let the free thought and knowledge inside that will enable them to grow into "free thinkers" and help the country to grow through free thinking and ideology.
Ramjas College, one of the oldest colleges of Delhi University, was founded in 1917 by Rai Kedar Nath in the memory of his father Lala Ramjas Mal.
An alumnus of the college and retired Supreme Court judge Justice Mukundkam Sharma remembered his days at the college in 1960s while highlighting the fact that the college has gone from strength to strength in its 99 years existence.
In his address college principal Dr Rajenra Prasad highlighted the glorious past and lows faced by the institution during his 31 years at the helm.
Member of the governing body of the college and former chairman of Assocham Anil Agarwal also addressed the gathering. The guests of the function also hoisted the college flag and unveiled the centennial logo of Ramjas.
