The objection of Congress leader Farhad Suri was to the transfer 77 engineers last week, which he alleged that despite vigilance inquiry against some of these officials, they had been transferred to sensitive posts.
Also, Suri raised objection to the engineers remaining in sensitive posts for a period beyond three years despite a rule to the contrary.
"It is a rule that officials in sensitive posts will be transferred after three years," he said.
He wanted to know what criteria was being followed for transfers, especially those related to such sensitive departments and objected to the fact that despite repeatedly raising questions about the matter, he had received no satisfactory reply.
Suri then walked out of the meeting to register his protest.
