The government is pro-farmer and has taken several steps for the benefit of farming community, whereas nothing much was done for them in earlier regimes, Hooda said after felicitating teachers with State Teachers' Award on the occasion of Teachers Day here.
Chief Minister denied to comment on the interim bail granted to Sirsa MLA Gopal Kanda, saying the matter was sub-judice.
On the new Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Bill passed by the UPA government, Hooda said the Bill was in favour of the farming community and would support their cause.
