Oudh lawyers to abstain from work till Jan 19

Lawyers of Oudh Bar Association (OBA) will continue to abstain from work till January 19 demanding expansion of territorial jurisdiction of the Lucknow bench of the Allahabad High Court.
On the request of OBA, the Chief Justice of the High Court will meet the delegation of OBA on January 19 at Lucknow, OBA general secretary Ramesh Pandey said.
The lawyers of Lucknow bench of the High Court are abstaining from work since January 8 to press the demand that Moradabad, Bareilly and Kanpur divisions need to be included in the territorial jurisdiction of the Lucknow bench.
