This was conveyed to Governor N N Vohra, who is the chancellor of the universities, at a a meeting here to review the Campus Recruitment programme in Katra and Srinagar campuses.
In 2012, 519 students were selected of whom 350 were from Kashmir University and 136 from Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University.
During January-October this year, 900 students were recruited, of whom 734 were from Kashmir University and 137 from Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University.
From Jammu University, 43 students secured job placements, while 1,209 were selected under UDAAN scheme.
The Governor thanked TCS, BHEL, NTPC, Wipro, Axis Bank, Yes Bank, Airtel, HDFC Bank, HCL, Amul, Infotech, HCCL, ICICI Bank, Mahindra Logistics, IFFCO, Bank of India and all other companies which have deputed teams to undertake campus recruitments.
