Out of the total arrivals, government procuring agencies purchased over 10.43 lakh tonne whereas 16,042 tonne paddy was bought by millers and dealers, an official release said.
It said that out of the total arrival in the current procurement season which began last week, more than 10.57 lakh tonne of paddy was leviable.
More than 5.06 lakh tonne of paddy has been purchased by Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department, over 3.54 lakh tonne by HAFED, 93,993 tonne by the Haryana Agro Industries Corporation and 88,113 tonne has been purchased by the Haryana Warehousing Corporation.
