The children were vaccinated against the disease as part of the 3-day Sub-National Immunization round of Pulse Polio 2013-14 which began today, a spokesman of the state Health Department said here.
He said polio drops were administered to children to wipe out the disease from the state.
A total of 26 lakh children were targeted to be covered during the campaign in the state, the spokesman said.
During this round, special attention would be paid to high-risk areas like slums, isolated hutments, brick-kilns, floating or migrating population and construction sites, he said.
