The two-day fair is being held at the Bari Brahmana Military Garrison in Jammu under the aegis of Tiger Division.
"Over 2,000 veterans participated on the first day of the Army Placement Mela in which 844 vacancies are to be filled by various companies and industries of Jammu", a defence spokesman said.
He said 24 industries from different parts of Jammu participated in the event who offered various vacancies to the retired Army personnel.
