Over 2.7 lakh pilgrims visit Amarnath cave shrine

Over 11,000 devotees today offered prayers at the Amarnath shrine in south Kashmir as the total number of those paying obeisance at the cave temple since the onset of annual pilgrimage surpassed 2.76 lakh.
As many as 11,075 pilgrims performed 'darshan' of the ice 'Lingam' at the temple today, an official spokesman said.
A total of 2,76,573 pilgrims have paid obeisance at the holy shrine till today since the annual yatra commenced on June 28, he said.
