The Goa Football Development Council (GFDC) will hold a two-day seminar on March 15 and 16 here to discuss measures that would help the development of the sport in the state.
The theme of the conference will be "Home grown Heroes" and will focus on issues like policy, infrastructure, talent development, community engagement and social impact, sponsorship and professionals.
Goa's Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar will inaugurate the two-day event.
Around 200 delegates from India and abroad, including some of the prominent national and international football players, coaches, administrators and local experts will attend the meeting and offer their views on various topics connected with football.
Addressing a press conference today, Dr Rufino Monteiro, chairman of GFDC said the conference will help propel Goan Football to another planet.
GFDC's aim is to train youths and 'export' footballers from Goa to other parts of country and abroad, he said.
Football policy is under preparation and the draft of the policy will be released at the hands of the Chief Minister, he said.
During the inaugural function, four players will be given life-time achievement award and some coaches, referees and some of the most promising U20 footballers would also be rewarded, he said.
