More than 22,500 runners participated in the 8th edition of Airtel Hyderabad Marathon 2018 held here today.
A release from the organisers said 1250 runners took part in the Full Marathon (42.195 kms) flagged off by Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad, Anjani Kumar.
Besides, 6000 runners participated in the Half Marathon (21.095 kms) flagged off by M Dana Kishore, Commissionerof Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) at People's Plaza here.
Over 8000 runners participated in the 10K Run flagged off by V C Sajjanar, Commissioner of Police, Cyberabad, it said.
Karam Singh came first in the full marathon in the Male category and Pascalia Chepkoech in the female category, the release said.
Tirtha Kumar bagged the honours in half marathon in the Male category while Swati Gadhave in the female category, it said.
The event was organised by Hyderabad Runners Society.
Anil Kumar Yadav got the first prize in Male category and Monika Athare stood first in the Female category in 10K Run, it said.
