The cleaning mission--yesterday and today-- was carried out in Kumaraguru College of Technology, as per the directive of UGC.
The waste materials collected comprised 110 kg of plastic materials, 2,310 kg of colour papers, 465 kg of carton boxes, 60 kg of mixed waste and 755 kg of waste paper thrown in the campus, a release from facilities department in the college said today.
The department staff collected the waste and disposed unused material from every department. Hundreds of staff members, including, teaching and non-teaching and housekeeping staffs participated, it said.
