Health Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad in a written reply to a question in Lok Sabha today said that 4,135 deaths have taken place till June in Safdarjung Hospital with a death-patient ratio of 1:17.
The Dr Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital registered 2,213 deaths till June 2013. In AIIMS, 1,468 deaths occurred till July 2013.
The Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and research (PGIMER) in Chandigarh registered 2,599 deaths up to July.
The minister informed the house that there were no incidents of negligence in treatment of patients in central government hospitals, AIIMS and JIPMER.
