While stating this here today, a spokesman of Haryana Food and Supplies department said that over 13.81 lakh ton of paddy have been purchased by millers and dealers.
He said a maximum of over 8.05 lakh ton of paddy have arrived in the mandis of Karnal followed by over 7.63 lakh ton in Kurukshetra and over 5.44 lakh ton in Ambala.
The Food and Supplies Department has procured over 12.60 lakh ton of paddy whereas HAFED has procured over 9.71 lakh ton, Agro Industries Corporation over 4.86 lakh ton and Haryana Warehousing Corporation 2.43 lakh ton.
