P K Mohanty new Chief Secretary of Kerala
He replaces Jiji Thomson, who retired today.
An IAS officer of 1980 batch,Mohanty is now the Director General of Institute of Management in Government here.
He began his official career in the administrative service as a sub-collector in the state.
He also served as Sales Tax Commissioner, Director of Public Relations Department and as Managing Director of Civil Supplies Corporation.
Mohanty will take charge as Chief Secretary tomorrow, official sources said.
He is due to retire in May this year.
