Pakistan today accused India of committing more than 600 ceasefire violations this year which resulted in the killing of over 34 Pakistani civilians.
Foreign Office spokesman Nafees Zakaria also accused India of altering the demography of Jammu and Kashmir by settling non-Kashmiris in the state.
"The former Adviser to the PM on Foreign Affairs, Sartaj Aziz, had written a letter to the UNSG underscoring the Indian attempts," he said at the weekly press briefing here.
He claimed that India committed more than 600 ceasefire violations which resulted in killing of over 34 civilians.
He also accused that India allows limited access to United Nations Military Observer Group in India and Pakistan (UNMOGIP), which has been mandated to monitor peace at LoC and report back in case of any violations.
India maintains that UNMOGIP has outlived its utility and is irrelevant after the Simla Agreement and the consequent establishment of the Line of Control.
