Pakistan has become "desperate" after the Indian Army's surgical strikes in PoK, Jammu and Kashmir Deputy Chief Minister Nirmal Singh today said, asserting that a "befitting" reply is being given to Pakistani troops engaged in ceasefire violations along the LoC.
"Pakistan has become desperate following the surgical strikes on terror launch pads in PoK. A befitting reply is being given to it for ceasefire violations," Singh told reporterson the sidelines of a convention here.
"We were always apprehensive that they (Pakistan) would retaliate this way as they have been isolated by the world community," he said when asked about the ceasefire violations.
The Deputy Chief Minister said the government has made adequate arrangements for people in case shelling and firing by Pakistani troops increased along the border areas and several camps have been set up with all facilities like ration, water supply and power supply.
"Some people have already migrated due to firing that has taken place during the last few days. We are taking full precautions in case firing increases so that there is no human loss," Singh said.
